Lust of the Eye, Lust of the Flesh and the Pride of life

I have come to realize, that anytime we struggle with anything inwardly it is due to either the lust of the eye, lust of the flesh or the pride of life. The lust of the eye says I got to have what I see by any means necessary, the lust of the flesh says I got to feel what I want to feel by any means necessary and the pride of life says I got to have my own way by any means necessary. So anytime we are in an inward struggle means that some way some how some lust of the eye, lust of the flesh or some pride of life has been sown into our soul. That desire whatever it may be, un-submitted to God will struggle against the Spirit of God, the will of God or the word of God. We must really examine ourselves and rid ourselves of selfish desires, motives or ideas that contradict the will of God for our lives. Once we do and we submit to the Will and Word of God, we then must resist the devil. Resisting the devil is something we may have to do over and over again. Resisting the devil means that you refuse to go about it your way. We must continue to resist and the devil will flee from us. We have God's word on it!!!
