Excerpt from Garden of Gethsemane: How evil spirits operate

God says in His word that the angels of the Lord are encamped around and about us protecting us and ministering to us! From the time we were born those angels were assigned to us because the bible tells us that they minister to the heirs of salvation. Holy angels are not the only spirits that are around us. The un-repented and un-confessed sin of our parents open the door for evil spirits to influence their children and sometimes from the time their children are born these evil spirits lurk around them to oppose God and His Holy Angels. This depends on when the parents opened the door to them without closing it. This is the only explanation to why we learn how to do things that we never saw anyone else do, or that someone didn’t teach us how to do. 

These evil or unclean spirits have been seeding us with their desires, ideas and thoughts. They love it when we take ownership of those desires, thoughts and ideas. If an evil spirit has been with you from birth it’s very easy for them to deceive you into taking ownership of their ideas etc… Horrifically enough without a real revelation of God and His word many children have embraced these ideas from a very young age. That is why it is so important to teach our children early, as much truth as possible so that when they are faced with conflict they are empowered to overcome it. Our job is to teach our children the truth, giving them understanding so that they can receive God’s word. If they believe God’s word they will not believe the lies of the enemy.  

I know because when I was a 12 year old I remember experiencing conflict with lust. It was clear to me at 12 that lust had been sown into my soul. I remember being faced with the same lies; this is who you are, don’t fight it. I distinctly remember that I wanted both, I wanted what my flesh wanted but I also wanted to be right with God. Because of what I had been taught in church, I believed that I wasn’t supposed to like girls and because I wanted to be right with God more, I asked God to take the desire away from me. He did and I have never liked girls since. He took it away from me because I believed that He could and that He would. I didn’t believe that the desire was something that I couldn’t be rid of.

I asked God why didn’t I accept those lies, give in or submit to them. God told me that I didn’t accept the lies because I didn’t believe them, I believed His Word. All children reach the age where they can choose. We call this the age of accountability. Unfortunately most children do not have enough Word to challenge the lies from the devil.
